Terms & Conditions

1. About These Terms
These terms govern your use of this website and form the basis of any enquiry made through it. Where you engage 1st Class Cladding & Building Ltd for building work, a separate written contract and quotation will set out the specific scope, price and timeline.
2. Website Use
You may browse this site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, scrape or republish any content, imagery or design without our prior written consent.
3. Quotes & Estimates
All written quotes are valid for 30 days from issue unless otherwise stated. Quotes are based on the scope and conditions observed at the time of survey; significant changes uncovered during the works (e.g. concealed structural defects) will be priced and signed off before any additional work is carried out.
4. Deposits & Payments
Everything is in writing — a clear, signed contract between both parties is in place before any deposit is taken or work begins. Standard payment terms are: a deposit on signing of the contract, stage payments as work is completed at agreed milestones, and the balance on completion. Deposit and stage amounts are set out in the project quotation.
5. Workmanship
Workmanship guarantees are tailored to each project — our extensions typically carry up to a 15-year workmanship guarantee, with the exact length, scope and terms confirmed in writing in your project quotation. Materials are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Any cover excludes damage caused by misuse, third-party alterations, fair wear and tear, or events outside our control.
6. Building Regulations
1st Class Cladding & Building Ltd manages planning applications and building control inspections through to final sign-off as part of the service, unless agreed otherwise in writing. Where works are notifiable under the Building Regulations or require planning consent, statutory fees are itemised in the quote.
7. Insurance
1st Class Cladding & Building Ltd holds public liability insurance with £5 million of cover. A copy of the certificate can be provided in writing on request prior to contract.
8. Cancellation
You may cancel a contract in line with the cancellation clause set out in your written agreement. Materials already ordered or works already carried out at the point of cancellation remain chargeable.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability under any contract is limited to the contract value. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
